Rate of change = final - initial / time(in years)

= 41 - 43 / 2014 - 2012

= - 2 / 2

Rate of change = - 1

The total cost of 4 goldfish and 3 guppies is $29. 3 goldfish and 5 guppoes cost $30. How much does each cost
Aneli [31]

let the goldfish be x and the guppies be y

4x + 3y = 29...equ(1)

3x + 5y = 30...equ(2)

multiplying equation 1 by 5 and equation 2 by 3

20x + 15y = 145...equ(1)

9x + 15y = 90...equ(2)

subtracting equation 2 from 1

11x = 55

∴x = 5

substituting the value of x into equation

4(5) + 3y = 29

20 + 3y = 29

3y = 9

∴y =3

Answer:

P(N = n) = (1-P)^{n-1} \times P

Step-by-step explanation:

to find out

Find the PMF PN (n)

solution

PN (n)

here N is random variable

and n is the number of times

so here N random variable is denote by the same package that is N (P)

so here

probability of N is

P(N ) = Ф ( N = n)          ..................  1

here n is = 1, 2,3, 4,...................... and so on

so that here P(N = n) will be

P(N = n) = (1-P)^{n-1} \times P

Help! I have solving systems of equations using substitution, and sometimes I have equations like this:
timurjin [86]
For systems of equations try using graphing, substitution, and elimination. For example
{2x+7y=3}
{x=-4y}
You should first look at if you have a variable that can be substituted (using substitution) and in this case we do! you plug in the x into 2x meaning 2(-4y)+7y=3
1) distribute -8y+7y=3
2) combine like terms in this case -8y+7y= -1y
3) solve -1y=3
y=-3
so currently our solution is (0,-3)
now we solve for x.
we plug our solved variable (y) into 7y
7(-3) and our equation looks like this
2x+7(-3)=3
1) distribute 7(-3)=-21
2) rewrite then solve 2x+(-21)=3
3) isolate variable -21+21 & 3+21
4) 2x=24
5) solve 2/24 = 12
Meaning our solution is (12,-3)
This is how to solve by substitution.
