First of all, a definition of productivity is required: it is the efficiency with which a country organizes labor and capital in order to produce more with the same amount of workers. Increased productivity, according to mainstream economic doctrine increases economic growth, therefore the answer would be a. increasing economic growth. However, the issue is way more complex, If an increase of productivity is the result of exploitative practices, which are not only immoral but inefficient, the economic growth will be higher but unstable as exploited workers will rebel and go on strike and even if the strikes are suppressed by the police or employers, such economic growth will only continue in the short term since it will deplete both human and natural resources and will only benefit a tiny minority of the population.

A difference between spanish and french settlers in north america was that
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Spanish settlements in North America had one purpose only: to protect their shipments of gold and silver from competing European powers. The first successful settlement in North America, St. Augustine, Florida was built to protect Spanish fleets from attack by privateers. The statement above that the Spanish had "big cities. large farms" is patently incorrect.

It should be noted that the first successful rebellion in America; Pope's rebellion, also known as the Pueblo revolt, was the result of numerous failed promises on the part of the Spanish. Four hundred Spaniards were killed in the revolt and the Spanish lost control of New Mexico.

Tatiana [17]

Answer: America sought to impose itself as a world power.

Explanation:

The reason for joining the united states is the effort to impose itself as a world power after decades of isolation. In that direction, they acted to exploit the revolution in Cuba that the population sought to achieve because of Spanish dominance. So the cause was the Cuban Revolution, and the real reasons are the effort to make the country stand out on the international front as a vital force.

Many riots and internal problems weakened the Spanish. In such circumstances, America wanted territorial expansion. The end of the conflict brought Cuba independence, but Cuba was under US jurisdiction. The Philippines, Guam and Puerto Rico have become parts of the United States.
