You would get it by:

First doing the order of operations:

6/2x3= 3x3=9

12-9=3

This is how you get 3.

I’m pretty sure the answer is 11... please correct me if I’m wrong (to: anyone whom’s better at math than me...)
Because if u use pemdas... then multiplication would be first in this situation... so u would multiply 2(3)=6 So now the problem is 12-6/6 so the next step in this situation is, dividing...6/6=1 so now we just do 12-1=11 so I’m very positive that the answer is 11

Solve for x: one over five (5x + 12) = 18<br> please step this out for me
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

x = 6/5

x = 1.2

x = 1 1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

The answers above are all the same, but in different forms.

The steps to getting x:

1. subtract 12 from the parenthesis which leaves us with 5x = 6

2. Then we want to divide 5 from x which gives up our answer 5x/5 = 6/5

Remember whatever you do on one side it has to be done on the other, hence the equal sign

A. The number of favorable outcome plus the total number of outcomes
ExtremeBDS [4]
5/10 of the possible outcomes will be odd, this means that the other 5/10 of the outcomes will not be odd. The denominator is 10 which is the total number of possible outcomes.

The answer is D because the denominator is the total number of outcomes.

1\tfrac{2}{5} \div \frac{8}{9}<br> 1 5/2 ÷ 9/8
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

What you wrote below the top line and the bottom line are not the same thing.

I think you really want the second line, but one can't be sure.

(1*2 + 5)/2 div (9/8)

7/2 // 9/8

7/2 * 8*9

7*8/18 = 56/18 = 28/9

If you really do want the top line (the latex) it is different.

1 2/5  div (8/9)     Is there such a thing as tfrac? I didn't know this but there is.

(1*5 + 2)5 // (8/9)

7/5 // 8/9             Invert the bottom fraction and multiply

7/5 * 9 / 8

63 / 40

1 23/40
