Karen woke up half an hour before her alarm. It was still dark out, and the street lights outside cast striped shadows on the wa

Today, her school's annual theater festival was to begin, and it was the highlight of her year. As she showered, Karen recite the entire first act of Romeo and Juliet — not just her own lines but all the other actors' as well . Answer:

The third person perspective hints at it being an important day, and her unusual behavior towards today. For one, she woke up very early, and didn't even notice all the commotion. She was really excited for today, as it was the highlight of the year. She also practiced the entire first act of Romeo and Juliet, everyone's lines. She didn't notice how excited she was, and how differently she was acting than she usually did.

Hey!

I believe the correct answer is the last sentence: "As soon as he saw her, Erkan's face brightened and he stopped looking like a stricken animal and instead looked like someone who recognized a dear old friend."

That sentence explains quite a bit. The relationship between Michelle and Erkan. How is face "brightened" when he saw her, and how he looked like "someone who recognized a dear old friend" meaning Michelle looks like a dear old friend.
