Answer:

The model is 64.62 inches or 5.39 feet  tall .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Height of the Willis Tower in Chicago = 1,454 feet

Scale of the model = 2 inches : 45 feet height

To Find:

the height of the  model = ?

Solution:

Let the height of the model be x

Then

\text{Height of the model} = \frac{ \text{Height of the Willis Tower in Chicago}}{\text{Scale in feet} }\times \text {Scale in inches}}

On substituting the given  values

Height of the model = \frac{1,454}{45}  \times 2

Height of the model =32.31 \times 2

Height of the model = 64.62 inches

Converting into feet,

1 inch =  0.0833333 feet

so

64.62 =  0.083  \times 64.62   =  5.39 feet

You are choosing between two different cell phone plans. The first plan charges a rate of 23 cents per minute. The second plan c
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

357 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

I subtracted 9 cents/minute from the 23 cents/minute to get 14 cents to get the difference between the two per minute charges.  I then divided the monthly cost of $49.95 by .14 to get 356.79...  So if you used 357 minutes in a month, the second plan would be 3 cents cheaper at $82.08 (.09 x 357= 32.13 + 49.95), vs. the first plan costing $82.11 (.23 x 357).  At 356 minutes the first plan would still be cheaper.

Square root of 48a^6b^5
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

  4a³b²√(3b)

Step-by-step explanation:

Even powers of any of the factors can be brought out from under the square root radical.

  \sqrt{48a^6b^5}=\sqrt{(4^2a^6b^4)(3b)}=\sqrt{(4a^3b^2)^2(3b)}=\boxed{4a^3b^2\sqrt{3b}}

Explain your answer !! <br> Have a nice day <br><br> Will give braisnlt
SashulF [63]

Answer:

The equations are:

4H + 3P = 13.75

2H + 5P = 11.25

Hotdog = 2.50

Pretzel = 1.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Let:

H = hot\ dog

P =Pretzel

For Tina:

4H + 3P = 13.75

For Doug:

2H + 5P = 11.25

Solving for the price of both items:

We have:

4H + 3P = 13.75 --- (1)

2H + 5P = 11.25 --- (2)

Multiply (2) by 2

2 * (2H + 5P = 11.25)

-------------------

4H + 10P = 22.50 --- (3)

Subtract (3) from (1)

4H + 3P = 13.75

4H + 10P = 22.50

----------------------

4H - 4H + 3P - 10P = 13.75 - 22.50

3P - 10P = 13.75 - 22.50

-7P = -8.75

Solve for P

P = \frac{-8.75}{-7}

P = 1.25

Substitute 1.25 for P in (2)

2H + 5P = 11.25

2H + 5 * 1.25 = 11.25

2H + 6.25 = 11.25

Collect Like Terms

2H = 11.25-6.25

2H = 5

Solve for H

H = \frac{5}{2}

H = 2.50
