The unequal, unjust, biased behavior or treatment of someone, towards something or someone is called as Discrimination.

People face discrimination because of the other people's mind set and their bias towards a certain group or characteristic. For example, the most common discrimination faced by people are on the basis of their Race, Social Class, Income, etc. People feel pride in attaching themselves with people who are financially strong, who have strong social class, etc.

Secondly people face discrimination due to the set standards of the societies. Societies also play role in enhancing the discrimination. For example, companies prefer to hire females, rather than males, for the Marketing or their customer service department, which is itself a discrimination on the basis of Gender.
