8 0

I think the answer could be either 5 or 6 from what I know of the Helen Keller story. If this takes place when she was younger, then, it's probably 4. Hope this helped :]

Why does Oedipus refuse Creon's suggestion that Oedipus should hear the news he received from Apollo in private about the plague
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

Creon asks Oedipus if he wants to hear the news in private, but Oedipus insists that all the citizens hear. Creon then tells what he has learned from the god Apollo, who spoke through the oracle: the murderer of Laius, who ruled Thebes before Oedipus, is in Thebes. He must be driven out in order for the plague to end.

Which excerpt highlights the theme of the fleeting nature of life?
hoa [83]

The correct answer is:

But at my back I always hear

Time's winged chariot hurrying near;

And yonder all before us lie

Deserts of vast eternity.

(Andrew Marvell, “To His Coy Mistress”)

These lines highlight the fleeting nature of life. The author argues that he can hear the "winged chariot" of time, meaning he can feel time passing, and "hurrying near." He knows that before us, there lies a desert of eternity. This is likely to refer to death. He believes that death is fast approaching, and that after death, lies an eternity.
