Charm, v. enchant, captivate, fascinate, mesmerize
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

B). Charm, n. attraction, appeal, charisma.

Explanation:

According to the context of the given sentence, the word 'charm' has been employed as a noun being followed by the determiner. Therefore, option A goes incorrect. Option C becomes incorrect as it goes out of the context of the sentence. Thus, only option B corresponds by functioning as a noun and accomplishes the meaning of the sentence and the sentence would imply 'Morton had enough attractiveness/appeal/charisma(charm) that he could win even the coldest of hearts with his smile'. Therefore, option B is the correct answer.

How are the time periods in the original novel and radio versions of the war of the worlds different?
Mekhanik [1.2K]

The radio version was presented as a real situation. It was not clarified to the audience that was just a "play" ,and the people panicked. What people heard on the radio was taken seriously. THe events in the original novel are developed in England in the 19th century, this was changed to adapt it to the radio show to the United States, in New Jersey to make it more contemporary. Orson Wells wanted a greater broadcast off his novel, so he came up with this idea.
