The answer is letter D) Each stanza represents another phase in the speaker's reaction to the fire.

At the beginning of the poem, the speaker tells how distressful and scary it was to wake up in the midde of the night to find that fire was consuming the speaker's house.

However, as the poem progresses, the speaker remembers that what was lost had never truly belonged to her. She believes God is the one who gives and takes, it is up to Him to decide. Even though she is sad - no more memories will be made in that house, no more joy will be experienced at that place - she chooses to raise her thoughts "above the skye".

Her true home awaits in Heaven. This earthly abode is only temporary, so she chooses to let go of it and to comfort her heart with the thought that God has a place for her by Him.
