What is the main idea of this paragraph? In the United States an average of 100 people die each day from gun violence. In 2015,

the 36,252 deaths from firearms exceeded the number of deaths from motor vehicle accidents. And since 1968, more individuals in the United States have died from gun violence than in all the wars fought by this country (Bauchner et.al 7). America’s prevalent gun nation stems in portion from its settler history, revolutionary roots, frontier expansion, as well as the Second Amendment, which declares: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of people to and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Advocates of additional gun control laws proclaim that the Second Amendment is meant for soldiers. They believe that gun violence would be lessened, that gun restrictions have always existed, and that the majority of Americans, even gun owners, support gun restrictions. Adversaries state the Second Amendment defends a person's right to bare arms. They believe that guns are a must for people to protect themselves from lawbreakers and unfamiliar intruders and that owning a gun deters crime as opposed to causing more (ProCon.org). I side with the advocates of gun control. I believe that stricter gun control laws such as preventing people with mental illness from purchasing firearms, banning assault-style weapons, and performing background checks at gun shows will reduce the gun-related death in this country.

So first off, this is an introduction paragraph, the writer provides quite a bit of context, and their thesis, ( I side with the advocates of gun control. I believe that stricter gun control laws such as preventing people with mental illness from purchasing firearms, banning assault-style weapons, and performing background checks at gun shows will reduce the gun-related death in this country) is at the end, suggesting a intro para. The author also states the main idea in the thesis, which, intrepreted, is: More gun control is needed in this country, the positives outweigh the negatives. They then provide their thesis points after they state their opinion.

Have a good day, stay safe.

Write an essay explaining how diversity can have a positive or negative effect on a group.
podryga [215]
As you should already know to improve revenue profits is a positive effect on diversity. Another positive effect is reduced competition ( market more attractive). Greater capabilities (e.g. technology, capacity, innovation). Also better market access ( e.g. distribution, new territories.

However the negative effects I'm more driven, One-off costs and effect of integration (disruptive for both buyer and target business). too much focus on cost synergies can damaged be revenue & growth potential. Along with cultural conflicts. as well as risk of overpayment for the transaction.
