Jacob=5 5/6 ft
Linda=5 1/4

So to find out the difference, we first have to make the fractions equivalent.

5/6x2/3=10/12
1/4x3/3=3/12

Now we subtract.

5 10/12-5 3/12
=7/12

Jacob is 7/12 ft taller than Linda.

Plz help math question
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

y = -2x +20

6x - 5y = 12

Put the value of y in 2nd equation

6x - 5( -2x +20 ) = 12

6x +10x -40 = 12

16x = 12 +40

16x = 52

x = 13/4

Putting the value of x in equation 1

y = -2x +20

y = -2(13/4 ) +20

y = 27/2

working together it takes two computers 10 minutes to send out a company's email. If it takes the slower computer 30 minutes to
allochka39001 [22]

Answer: it will take the faster computer 15 minutes to do the job on its own.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let t represent the number of minutes it will take the faster computer to do the job on its own. It means that the rate at which it does the job per minute is 1/t

If it takes the slower computer 30 minutes to do the job on its own. It means that the rate at which it does the job on its own per minute is 1/30

By working together, they would work simultaneously and their individual rates are additive. Working together it takes two computers 10 minutes to send out a company's email. It means that the rate at which both computers work together per minute is 1/10 Therefore,

1/t + 1/30 = 1/10

Cross multiplying by 30x, it becomes

3x = x + 30

3x - x = 30

2x = 30

x = 30/2

x = 15 minutes

egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

The last graph best represents the story

Step-by-step explanation:

Mary left for school from rest. So the initial speed is zero.

So we start from the origin and draw a straight line with a positive slope to running, that is as time increases , distance covered also increases.

When she is resting, her speed is zero so we draw a horizontal line to indicate this second phase of her journey.

After resting she still continued her journey to school.

This part also has a positive slope.
