The Nile River was a benefit for Egypt when it provided fertility and water. On the other hand, The Nile River was also a disadvantage for Egypt when it brought destructive flooding.

EXPLANATION

The Nile River surely gave benefit to Egypt, yet it also brought a disadvantage. The Nile River was a benefit since it gave fertility and provided water for the Egyptians. Yet, The Nile River was also a disadvantage since it caused flooding which was destructive to its surroundings.

The Nile River is a water stream which flows in north-eastern Africa. The Nile is well-known as the longest river in Africa and also the longest river in the world. It was before the Brazilian government claimed that the Amazon is longer than the Nile River.

The Nile River is about 6,650 km long. This river covers a lot of countries, such as Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Republic of Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Egypt. The Nile is used as a primary water source by Sudan and Egypt.

The White Nile and the Blue Nile are the two major tributaries of the Nile river. The White Nile is known as the primary stream and headwaters for the Nile itself. Meanwhile, the Blue Nile is the main source of the water and silt. The White Nile is longer than the Blue Nile. It rises in central Africa, specifically in the Great Lakes region. The most detached source is still undetermined, but it is located in Burundi or Rwanda. Moreover, The Blue Nile starts in Ethiopia, specifically at Lake Tana. It also flows from the southeast to Sudan. The White Nile and the Blue Nile meet at the north of Khartoum, the Sudanese capital.

What was the new Soviet idea of Glasnost?
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

C. Allowing for more freedom of speech

Explanation:

The Soviet economy has experienced major issues in the 1980s. Years of central power had resulted in stagnation, and the Soviet economy was already struggling to cope with President Ronald Reagan's military expansion in the United States. In response, during the Twenty-Seventh Party Congress in 1986, Gorbachev proposed two proposals which is the first for "perestroika," or total economic transformation, and the second for "glasnost," or transparency. The earlier approach would prepare the way for the privatization of farming and industry, the development of profit incentives, and the establishment of a market system for fixing prices and managing internal commerce. Glasnost would loosen censor regulations and introduce new civil freedoms. Although the recommendations were well embraced by Soviet residents, the Party leadership remained wary of change.

Which of the following was a reason for southern secession? A. choosing Jefferson Davis as leader of the Confederate States B. f
I am Lyosha [343]

The correct answer is: C) familiarity with and disdain for the northern industrial workplace.

Secession and, therefore, Civil War were mainly about the right to own slaves. Slaves were, for the Southerns, the most important "material" in the workplace; their region relied on slave-owning in order to do agrarian work.

The Northerns, however, now were in their way to industrialization, where the work at factories was done by employed immigrants and, thus, they were all for abolishing slavery.
