After the killing of the king, Macbeth also kills banquo to make sure he doesnt know that Macbeth killed the king. After the murders, the guilt ridden couple slowly go mental. The king sees ghosts, and eventually Lady Macbeth kills herself. King Macbeth eventually gets killed, Banquos son becomes King.
