We use what we know about Earth—its structure, atmosphere, geologic activities, and processes—to prove or disprove our theories

of other planets. Describe one such example of our use of Earth analogs to determine the circumstances elsewhere, and explain how it might influence our explorations in the future.

Answer:

Base on earth's structure, process and geologic history.

Explanation:

There are various planets in outer space that are considered analogous to that of earth or the Earth-like the planet like Kepler-22b. Kepler-69c. Kepler-62f and Kepler-452b. These Earth-like planets are called as G and K stars. like venus which is considered a twin of earth. These planets are considered to be 50% like earth but differ based on temperature and Terraforming is going to be what might be influencing the future of the explorations. Which is a hypothetical process of deliberating modifying the atmospheric conditions to make it habitable for man.

Phyllite and schist are both metamorphic rocks. When you examine the rock samples, you will be able to see that schist has visib
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

1)Phyllite

Explanation:

The rock which has undergone more temperature and pressure conditions is Phyllite which is also known as Gneiss.

Schist and Phyllite are produced by the process of medium to high grade metamorphism. But in some cases Phyllite is produced by high grade metamorphism when compared to schist. The Low-grade metamorphic rocks always tend to be fine-grained. High-grade metamorphic rocks are often tend to be coarse-grained.

Phyllite is a high grade metamorphic rock, which means it has been subjected to higher temperatures and pressures than schist. Phyllite is formed by the metamorphosis of granite, or the sedimentary rock. Gneiss/Phyllite displays distinct defoliation, representing the alternating layers composed of different mineral forms.

Ipatiy [6.2K]
I think that it is d sedimentary because it is built up of layers of rock that can easily be chipped off. Igneous rock is formed from lava flows, either extrusive or intrusive. Metamorphic rock is made from old rock. Basalt is a type of igneous rock. By process of elimination, sedimentary seems to be the best answer. I hope this helps!
