The Bahá'ís is one of the youngest religions among the major ones, dating back from 1863, founded by Mirza Husayn Ali, proclaimed Bahá'u'lláh (God of Glory in Arabic) in Iran.
According to their beliefs, there is just one God, and several different religions have sprung due to different attempts to make a description of this God. However, these descriptions have come out to be distinct from one another because of contrasting experiences and interpretations of cultural backgrounds, giving birth to a variety of religions.
McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason, especially when related to communism. The term refers to U.S senator Joseph McCarthy (R-Wisconsin) and has its origins in the period in the United States known as the Second Red Scare, lasting from the late 1940s through the 1950s.
Charles Schnenck was arrested for his antiwar activities during World War One. He opposed the war because it would only led to mass suffering and death and will only benefit the rich who stand to profit from the war. He was arrested under the Espionage Act on the grounds that during times of war, limiting the freedom of speech was justified.
