(A) Critics of the Catholic Church were able to quickly replace any writings the church destroyed.

By this way, the printing press make it difficult for the Catholic Church to stop the  Reformation.

<u>Explanation</u>:

“Protestantism” was a new religion that was trying to weaken the “Catholics” in power, with its new beliefs and rituals. It was promoted by England. The “Catholic Reformation” was the force to counter Protestantism.  

With the invention of printing press more and more sacred books were reaching out to people. People were able to read spiritual books as printing press were publishing books at a faster rate. Thereby stopping the catholic church to stop the reformation. In case anything was destroyed by the church, it could be replaced quickly and reached back to people and they were no more dependent on the catholic church for any learnings.
