What are the three basic questions faced by every economy

Business

The three basic questions asked are:

1. What goods and services should be produced?

This is asked because the economy wants to produce what the consumers want or else the resources aren't being used efficiently since resources are scarce.

2. How should we produce them?

This is asked because the producers don't want to spend unnecessary time or money on production, so they must choose wisely what method of production is best for their company and consumers.

3. Who are the consumers?

This is asked because the producers want to make sure that they are targeting the right people with advertising or selling.

Hope this helped!

Bill wants to give Maria a $590,000 gift in two years. If money is worth 12% compounded semiannually, what is Maria's gift worth
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

the present value is $467,335.2613

Explanation:

The computation of the value worth today is shown below:

= Amount in two years ÷ (1 + rate of interest)^number of years

= $590,000 ÷ (1 + 12% ÷ 2)^2×2

= $590,000 ÷ 1.06^4

= $590,000 ÷ 1.26247696

= $467,335.2613

Hence, the present value is $467,335.2613

We simply applied the above formula so that the correct value could come

A total of $4000 was invested, part of it at 8% interest and the remainder at 11%. if the total yearly interest amounted to $365
ella [17]
$1500 was invested at 11% $2500 was invested at 8% Assuming simple interest for each investment, we have the following expressions 0.11x = interest on 11% investment. (x = amount invested at 11%) 0.08(4000-x) = interest on 8% investment Adding the 2 expressions together and setting the sum to 365 gives 0.11x + 0.08(4000-x) = 365 Now solve for x by first distributing the 0.08 0.11x + 320 - 0.08x = 365 Subtract 320 from both sides and combine x's 0.03x = 45 Divide both sides by 0.03 x = 1500 So $1500 was invested at 11% and (4000-1500) = 2500 was invested at 8%
