(2x - 3)(5x² - 2x + 7)

= 2x(5x² - 2x + 7)  -3(5x² - 2x + 7)       multiplied using distributive property

= 10x³ - 4x² + 14x   -15x² + 6x - 21        distributed 2x and -3

= 10x³ - 19x² + 20x - 21                         added like terms

You did not upload the image of the steps so I am not sure where fiona made the error. Hopefully, you can figure it out from the information I provided.

59 blue jays, 68 black crows, 12 red robins, 1 cardinal....total of 140 birds
there were 59 blue jays spotted...

59/140 = x / 300...59 jays to 140 birds = x jays to 300 birds
cross multiply
(140)(x) = (300)(59)
140x = 17700
x = 17700/140
x = 126.42...rounds to 126 blue jays <==

Consider the following 8 numbers, where one labelled x is unknown. 4, 32, 6, x , 10, 3, 35, 37 Given that the range of the numbe
Natali [406]

Answer:

\boxed{x=-27, \: x=67}

Step-by-step explanation:

There can be two values of x.

The range is largest no. - smallest no.

Range = 64

Let x be the smallest no.

largest no. from the list is 37

37 - x = 64

-x = 64 - 37

x = -27

Let x be the largest no.

smallest no. from the list is 3

x - 3 = 64

x = 64 + 3

x = 67
