An introductory psychology class has 9 freshman males, 15 freshman females, 8 sophomore males, and 12 sophomore females. A rando
hjlf

Answer:

The probability is \frac{16}{43}

Step-by-step explanation:

The psychology class has 9 freshman male, 15 freshman females, 8 sophomore male and 12 sophomore female.

Total population constitution of the class=

17 males and 27 females and 44 students in total.

If on selecting on the first attempt, a male has been picked up then the number of males for the picking up in the second attempt has to decrease by one.

Also, the total number of students from which it has to be selected also decreases by 1, because one child has already been selected.

Therefore for Second Attempt, Total 43 students and 16 males.

Probability=\frac{No.OfFavorableOutcomes}{TotalNo.OfOutcomes}

Probability=\frac{16}{43}

Answer:

a) We conclude that the menager use the hypergeometric distribution.

b) We conclude that the menager use the binomial distribution.

Step-by-step explanation:

a) We know that in probability theory, the hypergeometric distribution is a discrete probability distribution that describes the probability of k successes in n draws, without replacement.

We conclude that the menager use the hypergeometric distribution.

b) We know that the binomial distribution describes the probability of k successes in n draws with replacement.

We conclude that the menager use the binomial distribution.

Bianca took a job that paid $150 the first week. She was guaranteed a raise of 6% each week. How much money will she make in all
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

$225.54 (hope it help)

Step-by-step explanation:

for 2nd week

$150 for the first week and a raise of 6% each week

which means 150+6%

6% of 150 is 9 (150x0.06)

150+9=159

and it repeats

for 3rd week

6% of 159 is 9.54 (159x0.06)

159+9.54=168.54

for 4th week

6% of 168.54 is 10.1124 (168.54x0.06)

168.54+10.1124=178.652

for 5th week

6% of 178.652 is 10.71912 (178.652x0.06)

178.652+10.71912=189.37112

an easier to do it is to just do 178.652 + 6% on your calculater

and I'll skip all the way to the 8th since you know the formula

212.777390432+6%=225.544033858

225.544033858≈225.54

Solve for x and y help a girl out besties <3
RoseWind [281]
I’ll help a girl out

Y= 25
X=65

Because a triangle always has a total of 180 degrees.
Y and the 25 degrees are the same because I honestly forgot but trust. And the square means that the angle is 90 degrees so 90+25=115 and to get x you do 180-115=65.
I hope this was the right answer lol
