The old mindset or the old school of thought emphasized on earning money because they though that Money could buy anything and a person is said to be happy if they have sufficient money   to meet all their requirements.

But the Modern school of thought( as expressed by Ludwig van Beethoven) emphasize on the development of moral value among the coming up generation because it is the Moral values that will reap them all the happiness of life.
