If she knows mr and mrs Sherman wouldn’t approve, she should know not to because she is working. She should simply say “ mr and mrs Sherman don’t approve and we can maybe do it another night when i don’t have a child’s life in my hands”

She should tell him that it’s not appropriate and that she would be happy to watch movies with him any other time, but given the circumstances she would not like to watch movies that specific time
