Answer:

World War I was beyond any doubt a milestone in history that shaped the world politics and the world history. But this war was particularly a transformative moment for the African-American history.

Explanation:

Initially this was simply a conflict between the Europeans but it soon became a conflict that had revolutionary implications that was to shape the social, economic, and political future of the blacks. The war had a significant impact on the African-Americans. After the war ended, the African Americans hoped that their patriotic sacrifices would pay off. But this was far from reality. The return of the black soldiers created a nationwide violence. Especially in Washington, D.C and Chicago there was a lot of riots. Because of the racial conditions that failed to improve even after the war, the effects of the war receive less attention.

Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

2) widened and deepened canals

Explanation:

Over the centuries, humans and animals were largely used as a means to generate power, execute tasks or do certain things during the production and distribution process.

However, in the advent of industrialization and technological advancement, machines were invented to replace human and animal power.

Some examples of such inanimate sources of power are steam plants, nuclear plants, wind energy, solar energy etc. The countries that were actively involved in industrial revolution are the United States of America, Germany, Belgium, France and Britain (England).

In Britain, canals and rivers were the most widely used means of transportation during the industrial period and as such it was extensively developed so as to facilitate the rapid and efficient movement of goods such as textiles.

Hence, in order to reach its factories more easily, Britain widened and deepened canals.
