Answer:

C). "Someone getting bullied."

Explanation:

The words 'someone getting bullied' most likely indicates that the author is targeting a wider audience as he employs pathos to emotionally appeal to them and gain their acceptance. The descriptive word like 'bullied' is used to connect to the audience emotionally with an intention to evoke the emotions of sympathy from them towards the public services offered to the audience. This indicates that the author is targetting the majority audience emotionally. Therefore, option C is the correct answer.

Tanya [424]

If my question gets removed again I will not understand why but, I believe it is very long. Why? it says "Antonym context clue" Abridge means to cut or shorten. Very long is the opposite of shorten hence the antonym context clue.

P.S To anyone that think my answer is wrong and tries to remove it again. Please explain to me why my answer is wrong. That would be much appreciated. Thanks!

How can we expect students to successfully navigate our hypocrisies? Is this a topic sentence, data, warrant or paragraph conclu
alex41 [277]

Answer:

This is a topic sentence.

Explanation:

This sentence is a question, which, in expository or persuasive paragraphs, is usually a topic sentence. Data is evidence, a warrant is how your data supports your claim, and a paragraph concluding statement is, in 95% of cases, not a question.

So now we see that the most logical answer is indeed, a topic sentence.

Hope it helped!

What has Hazel discovered about the author of AIA through her research and why does she want him to respond to her letters?
AveGali [126]

Answer:

Hazel discovered that the author has published only one book, which she read and was incompletely left between. And, after the book came out, the author vanished and settled somewhere in Netherlands.

Hazel wanted him to respond to his letters because she can't wait forever to receive answers of her questions.

Explanation:

'The Fault in Our Stars' is a novel written by John Green. The novel is about a sixteen-year-old Hazel Grace, who is suffering from cancer and Augustus Gus, a seventeen-year-old lover boy of the novel, who has tumor in leg.

In Chapter 4, after Hazel completed reading a novel titled 'An Imperiaal Affliction', she did some research on the author. The book was written by an author named Peter Van Houten, who published only one book in his life, which is 'An Imperial Affliction' and after the book came out, he vanished from the US and went on to live in Netherlands.

The book that he published was left incomplete and midsentenced, curious what happened afterwards, Hazel wrote letters to the author asking about the rest of the story. She perceived that the narrator, Anna, in the story must have died that's why it is left midsentence. She was curious to know what happened to other characters in the story, and wrote letters to the author. She wanted him to reply to her letters because she wanted to know her answers, as she didn't have forever to wait for her answers.
