The correct answer is 4. Through flashback to a time when Jamal was inspired by Uncle Bill's coaching.

Explanation:

In this excerpt, the narrator describes Jamal as he remembers an experience when he is about to run in a race. This is introduced in "suddenly he could see himself back in Annapolis in second grade". Moreover, the experience Jamal remembers is that during the second grade his Uncle Bill went to see him run and inspired him to run by telling him "Running feels good, Jamal. Lift your knees, focus your mind, race along that path". In this context, the author develops the story through a flashback of memory of the time Jamal was inspired by his uncle (Option 4).

Help ME PLZZ 50 PIONTS FOR WHO EVER CAN HELP ME
ozzi
I don’t know how all this began, but if i knew what i know now, I wouldn’t have done it.
—————-
Ever since high school I’ve been in love with a guy. he was popular and well liked. Every girl threw themselves at him. He always had a new girl with him. The relationships wouldn’t last long. no one would ever really see the girl after their relationship ended. I thought it was pretty weird. But i came to a conclusion that i would probably avoid him too if he played me like he did too every other girl. It was a simple and harmless crush. However I eventually found myself stalking his social media’s. Sometimes I wished I could tell him how I felt. I felt anger every time he walked down campus with his new girlfriends. But i know He wouldn’t feel the same way. He liked girls. Months later I began stalking him. I would follow him on the way home and sometimes even on the way to school. Of course he wasn’t aware of this. I found a way to talk to him and we became friends. Now, this made me very happy. No one ever wanted me around. No one ever acknowledge me. But he did this mean he loves me? i’m not sure. But i do know that he became my obsession. After months of stalking, I decided to do something crazy. I NEEDED to see his apartment. I wanted to smell him and see the way he lived. and so, that’s what I did. I made sure to enter his apartment on a night i knew he would be out with his girl. When i made sure it was safe, i broke in. His place was organized and just perfect. It was neat and smelled good. I walked down the dark hall and that’s when i heard it. The door opened and i heard the sound of his voice. I ran down some stairs to the left of the the hall. It appeared to be a basement. Immediately i knew something was wrong. Why would he be home now? Did he ditch his girlfriend or something? I turned the basement light on and that’s when i saw it. He isn’t who he appeared to be. Hes crazy. Crazier than i am. It was a struggle trying not to scream. I wanted to run. What was i thinking? what did i just get myself into ? what am i gonna do? His previous girlfriend was being held captive. She was almost beaten to death. Is this what he did to all of the girls he’s dated ? did he murder them all? The basement door opened. His current girlfriend was pushed down the stairs. He stood at the top of the stairs. There was no hiding from him. He smirked when he saw me there. “ Let’s play a little game” he whispered as he slowly went down the basement steps.
