What is "the crucible" within the play and how does it bring about change or reveal
Kobotan [32]

Miller's title, The Crucible, is appropriate for the play. A crucible is a container made of a substance that can resist great heat ; a crucible is also defined as a severe test. Within the context of the play the term takes on a new meaning: not only is the crucible a test, but a test designed to bring about change or reveal an individual's true character. The witch trials serve as a metaphorical crucible, which burns away the characters' outer shells to reveal their true intentions and character beneath. Throughout the play, Miller carefully peels away the layers of each character so that the audience not only can identify the character's motivation, but also can reevaluate the character through his or her actions. In other words, the audience observes the character as he or she is tested, and the audience ultimately determines if he or she passes the test.

kupik [55]

Answer:

a) Miss Roberts to the children (David, Tucky, Paul)

Explanation:

Friend or Foe is a captivating World War II story written by Michael Morpurgo.

Its is a story of two boys (David and Tucky) from London who were evacuated from London to another location in the Devon countryside.

In Chapter two, On their way out of London, the children were having an argument about when the war will end and who the winner would be and their school mate, Paul asked Miss Roberts opinion.

Miss Roberts told them that they would have a new home and a new school and it would not be easy for them but they had to understand that they would not be going home for a long time.

The manager would say or act in an assortment of ways to make for a more positive experience. Firstly in order to avoid complaints, the manager could give a brief outline on their services they provide so the clientele doesn't have a false expectation. Secondly, a detailed summary of what the client wants (maybe even ask for reference photos!) Could be asked by the manager and specifically pick the cosmetologist that is the most skilled in that area or ask the client if they prefer someone specific maybe someone they have a good running rapport with. Hope this helped !
