Answer:

A) Alliteration

Explanation:

Malcolm  got himself a dictionary  and started meticulously replicating each passage. It took him daily to do the principal page. He would duplicate it full scale and after that read back so anyone might hear what he had composed. He started to recall the words and what they implied. He was intrigued with the information that he was picking up. He completed the An's and went on to the B's. Over some stretch of time, he completed the process of duplicating out the entire lexicon. Malcolm viewed the dictionary  as a miniature encyclopedia. He learned about people and animals, about places and history, philosophy and science.

When examining the word parts, what conclusion can you draw about the word “unknown”? If you take away the prefix “un-“, the roo
Alinara [238K]

The correct answer is the last option: If you take away the suffix –n and the prefix un-, the root word is “know”.

Prefixes and suffixes are sets of letters that are added at the beginning (prefix) or end of a word (suffix). They are not words by themselves, but they do change the words' meanings or categories.

In this case, the root is know. The suffix -n is used to change the word's category from verb (know) to noun (known). While, the prefix un- is used to mean NOT. As a result the meaning of the word UNKOWN would be not known or familiar.
