Answer:

(B) Catabolic pathways.

Explanation:

Catabolic pathway is the breaking down or degradation of complex molecules into simple molecules. Catabolic pathways are exergonic reactions because in the process of degradation, energy stored in these complex molecules is released. These reactions are spontaneous.

Examples of catabolic pathways are glycolysis, citric acid cycle, the breakdown of fat in adipose tissue to fatty acids, etc.

An artificial cell has is made up of 30% sugar and 70% water. It is placed in a solution
Molodets [167]

Answer:

It will shrink because it was placed in a hyper tonic solution

Explanation: Hyper tonic = More solute (sugar)

Hypo tonic = more liquid (water)

When a cell is placed in a solution it will essentially try to balance out so in this case water goes out the cell and solute goes, in shrinking the cell.

Restate your position on the lines below in your own words. Do you support or oppose the elimination of lactose from the human d
kolezko [41]
It depends on the individual reaction to lactose. first, some individuals are considered lactose intolerant meaning they lack enzymes that break down lactose into glucose and galactose. hence, if they digest dairy products they can have severe symptoms that will affect their health. however individual who aren’t lactose intolerant benefit from digesting lactose containing products because it improves the individuals health by providing the body with sufficient amount of energy when lactose is broken down to glucose and galactose. Also, consuming Foods in the Dairy Group provide nutrients that are vital for health and maintenance of the body. over all, it all comes down to how an individual will react to such decisions when eliminating lactose. If this decision outweighs the disadvantages then I agree with it however if it doesn’t I completely disagree
