Prohibition is the era in American history when the sale, disruption, and manufacturing of alcohol was illegal. Since selling alcohol was illegal, anyone that wanted to get alcohol was now breaking the law. However whenever there is a good/resource people want, even if it is illegal, they will pay a significant amount of money for it.

When this is the case, people will risk almost anything to make a huge profit. This is why crime and violence increase during Prohibition. Organized crime rings, lead by people like Al Capone, start to form. Due to the high demand of alcohol by American citizens, there became a huge competition between different organized crime groups for customers. Rival gangs would end up in shootouts (like the Valentine's Day Massacre).

Which term describes the strong divide that was created between the north and south and led citizens to be loyal to the region i
dem82 [27]

The Correct answer is A, that Sectionalism describes the strong divide that was created between the north and south and led citizens to be loyal to the region in which they lived.

Sectionalism in the American context is referred to different social structures, lifestyles, customs, and the political values of the North and the South. Sectionalism increased in the period between 1800- 1850, when the Industrialization and urbanization became the main economy of the North, while the South concentrated more on the plantation agriculture based on slave labor. Hence, The different economic life of South America led to the tensions that caused the civil war, and these economic differences were the result of the Sectionalism and not of Slavery. Moreover, Sectionalism promoted the idea of revolution more efficiently than that of the Slogans of the Slavery. Sectionalism in the South, created family relations.

Read the section "Germany invades Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France." Describe how the Germans invaded France and why
romanna [79]

Answer and Explanation:

Germany managed to invade France in 46 days. This surprised all of Europe who believed that the French resistance would be more aggressive, and could even defeat the Nazis.

One of the main reasons why Germany managed to conquer France was the use of the blitzkrieg. This was an innovative strategy for the time, when the German attacked its enemies with a series of coordinated attacks that united infantry, aviation and armored vehicles in a single point of the enemy's defense. To attack France, Germany used this strategy in the Ardennes, where the French army was completely cornered.

In addition, the German army made constant use of methamphetamines, which allowed soldiers to spend long periods of time without getting tired, promoting a progressive and fulminating attack.
