Well, it is helpful for displaying math, it can save lives through science models, you can send in projects for school assignments, draw what you're explaining, and possibly for social issues, appear educated. I promise you, if you were given a job interview and they ask you questions about historical art figures, you would prefer to know them. Honestly, over all, learning art can effect everything you do in life. You can design your room, write papers, describe things through writing, ect. It doesn't hurt to learn new information, but it may be harmful, if not taught.

Art is taught to make students more creative and think critically. Art can lead to inventions and helping students be more analytical while reading.
