Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Explanation:

Given the following :

Stock Mutual fund :

Front-end load (f) = 6.5% = 0.065

Expense ratio (e) = 1.37 % 0.0137

Money market Mutual fund :

Return (r) = 2.7% = 0.027

Expense ratio (e) = 0.002

Period of investment = 2 years

what annual return must the stock mutual fund earn to exceed an investment in the money market fund?

Money market = stock

(1 + r - e)^2 = (1 - f) (1 + r - e)^2

(1 + 0.027 - 0.002)^2 = (1 - 0.065)(1 + r - 0.0137)^2

1.050625 = 0.935(r + 0.9863)^2

Divide through by 0.935

1.050625 / 0.935 = (r + 0.9863)^2

Take Square root of both sides

1.0600 = r + 0.9863

1.0600 - 0.9863 = r

0.0737 = r

r = 0.0737 * 100%

r = 7.37%

2.) If investment horizon is 8 years

Money market = stock

(1 + r - e)^8 = (1 - f) (1 + r - e)^8

(1 + 0.027 - 0.002)^8 = (1 - 0.065)(1 + r - 0.0137)^8

1.21840 = 0.935(r + 0.9863)^8

Divide through by 0.935

1.21840 / 0.935 = (r + 0.9863)^8

1.303101 = (r + 0.9863)^8

Take 8th root of both sides

1.03365 = r + 0.9863

1.03365 - 0.9863 = r

0.04735 = r

r = 0.04735 * 100%

r = 4.74%

As mentioned in the video, the US produces an annual "List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor." How effective do y
lina2011 [118]

Answer and Explanation:

By publishing the "List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor" the American government is able to raise awareness among the population that, although child labor is something inconceivable in American society, it still happens with great intensity in various places around the world. This allows the population to become aware of this situation and to stop buying products produced by companies that finance and allow child labor to happen. When they stop using these products, companies suffer a decrease in demand, which can cause significant changes in the production and in the lives of children who need to work.

While consumer pressure at companies that allow child labor is effective, pressure from political and commercial authorities is more effective in bringing about change and ensuring the protection of children, as these authorities can promote severe punishments for those who allow this to happen.

Ramirez Company sells a product for $80 per unit. The variable cost is $60 per unit, and fixed costs are $4,850,000. Determine (
labwork [276]

Answer:

  • (A) Break even will be $19,400,000 or 242,500 units
  • (B) Target profit in sales units will be 267,500 units

Explanation:

Break Even Point (dollars) = Fixed Cost / contribution margin ratio

Break Even Point (units) = Fixed Cost / contribution margin per unit

Contribution Margin Unit = Sales Price - Variable Cost = 80 - 60 = 20

Contribution Margin Ratio = Contribution per unit / Sales Price = 20 / 80 = 0.25

Break even will be $19,400,000 or 242,500 units

Remember:

Contribution Margin will be sales minus variable cost

while the ratio is doing the contribution over the sales price

Trget profit (units) = target profit / contribution per unit +BEP =

                                  500,000/20 + 242,500 = 267,500

or (target profit + fixed cost) / contribution margin per unit =

                    (4,850,000 + 500,000) / 20  =  267.500

Remember:

Target profit always must be higher than BEP (break-even point) If not, either or both are wrong, because in order to make gains, first you need to pay the fixed cost (BEP) so target profit number needs to be higher than that, always.

Assume someone organizes all farms in the nation into a singleminusprice monopoly. As a result, the price consumers pay for foo
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

E. might rise or fall depending on whether the monopoly's marginal revenue curve lies above or below its demand curve.

Explanation:

In monopoly, the supply rule is the way how the farm will decide the price to sell the products in the market. This rule is simple, the price will be set where the demand curve cross the marginal revenue function, and not as perfect competition, where demand and supply demand cross. In monopoly the quantities are less thant perfect market situation, and the price is higher.

The law of large numbers says that when many people are insured, the probability distribution of the losses will assume a normal
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

allows accurate predictions.

Explanation:

The law of large numbers states that the larger the amount of policy holders, the probability distribution of the number of claims (losses for the insurance company) will be shaped like a normal distribution. This allows the companies to make more accurate predictions about the future number of claims.

In statistics, the law of large numbers states that as the sample size increases, the mean will be much closer to the real mean of the total population.
