Fiesta28 [93]

Answer: Make the shadow seem alive and personable

Explanation:

Regardless of personification attachment to statements, its meaning reflects. Personification is a figure of speech in which a thing or an idea or an animal is given human attributes. The non-human objects are portrayed in such a way that we feel they have the ability to act like human beings.

Example of this is, "I wondered lonely as cloud as a cloud". Here the cloud seem to be live and personable.

What is the significance of "The Lottery" in Shirley Jackson's writing?
Damm [24]

Answer:

It is her most famous and most controversial story. She received lots of hate mail, even from her parents.

Explanation:

I could not find where it was her first short story. Another one, "Charles" was published in 1948, the same year as "The Lottery".

It is most definitely NOT a humorous story.

It was fiction.
