He asked to reflect on the bonds of humanity, which held us together and therefore, Franklin affirmed that the happiness and benefits of Freedom, should reach the poor, unfortunate, unhappy men and women, of the afflicted people of Africa, since it was duty of the Americans and their highest values, to ensure that slavery was abolished.
