__________
The equation can be simplified by dividing both sides by 2
remember, anything times 0 is 0.
4x + 3y = 24
Now plug in values
if x = 0;
4(0) + 3y = 24
3y = 24
y = 8, this is the first answer
if y = 0;
4x + 3(0) = 24
4x = 24
x = 6, this is the second answer
if x = 12;
4(12) + 3y = 24
48 + 3y = 24
3y = -24
y = -8, this is the third answer.

First of all dont cry it's okay

8(0) + 6y = 48
6y = 48 ( divide by 6)
y = 8

8x + 6(0) = 48
8x = 48 ( divide by 8)
x = 6

8(12) + 6y = 48
96 + 6y = 48 ( subtract 96)
6y = -48 ( divide by 6)
y = -8

What is the area of a rectangle with vertices at (−3, −1) , (1, 3) , (3, 1) , and (−1, −3) ?
kondaur [170]
The length of the side joining points (-3, -1) and (1, 3) is given by

l= \sqrt{(1+3)^2+(3+1)^2}  \\  \\ = \sqrt{4^2+4^2} = \sqrt{16+16}  \\  \\ = \sqrt{32}

The length of the side joining points (1, 3) and (3, 1) is given by

w= \sqrt{(3-1)^2+(1-3)^2} \\ \\ = \sqrt{2^2+(-2)^2} = \sqrt{4+4} \\ \\ = \sqrt{8}

The area of a rectangle is given by length times width.

Thus, the area of the given rectangle is given by

Area=l\times w \\  \\ = \sqrt{32} \times \sqrt{8}  \\  \\ = \sqrt{32\times8} = \sqrt{256}  \\  \\ =\bold{16} \ units^2

The function f(x)=1200(0.8)^x represent the possible elk population of a national park x years from now. What is the current pop
sukhopar [10]

If <em>x</em> is the number of years from now, that means the <em>current</em> population is when x=0

Therefore, we plug this into the equation:

f(x) = 1200(0.8)^0 = 1200 elk at the park currently

Will give brainliest if you help with this question.
spin [16.1K]

Answer: (-5, 2). Please mark me brainliest

Step-by-step explanation: So we are finding the coordinates of point A first we have to mark the x-coordinate (-5) so we have to look at the horizontal line (x-coordinate) and the A is an -5 so the first part should be -5 next we have to do the vertical line (y-coordinate) and it is on the 2 so 2 so the answer is (-5,2).
