This was until the oil was found and many manumitting and mining towns were set up which offered better jobs to many and took over the farms.
This would all not happen and the state would not be rich from the oil money instead being an agrarian economy with many Spanish speakers and in general not as much in bigger towns,
Answer: I believe that the trail of tears changed many things. If it wouldn’t of happen I think that the Indians wouldn’t have lost their land and Oklahoma wouldn’t have many Cherokee reserves as it does today.
