Regan was mostly about deregulation of the economy. He believed that this would leave the people with more money which was a social issue. If you reduce taxes, company owners can give more money to the people, which is called trickle down economics. His era was a bit conservative however and social issues included fixing things like the glass ceiling or men and women not having same salaries.

The Jesuits founded schools that were at first established around the mid 1500s. Those schools were generally to teach others normal educational matters that were also taught in other schools, but they also included theological studies in the mix. It was also required of the students to follow christian rituals (simple things like morning prayers). Catholic colleges nowadays still have similar practices.
