Why do you think global warming is important in school, community, state, nation and world?

English
1 answer:
Nady [450]3 years ago

Answer:

Heres why I believe its so important! (and important to educate other people)

Explanation:

I have studied environmental science for at least three years now, I have a strong belief in educating others about the impact and importance of gobal warming or climite change, I know you'll hear a lot of people say

"they've been saying that forever"

well we have have been saying it for a long time

because its important and not a lot of people are educated on the impacts it has already done and will continue to do.

Global warming occurs beacuse of air pollution, carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air pollutants like (GHG) aka green house gasses collect in the atmosphere and are absorbed by sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced off the earth’s surface. Normally, this radiation would escape into space—but these pollutants, which can last for years and even centuries in the atmosphere, trap the heat and cause the planet to get hotter.

That's what's known as the greenhouse effect.

but its not just the earth getting hotter!

there are many other effects that climate change has on our planet

environmental, economic, and health consequences are likely to occur if current trends continue. Here’s just a smattering of what we can look forward

Melting glaciers, early snowmelt, and severe droughts will cause more dramatic water shortages and increase the risk of wildfires in the West American.

We have rapid rasing sea levels that have already and will lead tomore  coastal flooding on the Eastern Seaboard, specifically in Florida, and in other areas such as the Gulf of Mexico.

we will face troublesome new pests, heat waves, heavy downpours, and increased flooding. All these factors can contribute to the destruction of agricultural production.

Disruption of habitats such as coral reefs and Alpine meadows could drive many plants and animal species to extinction.

As for human health, it will worsen and be a leading cause of asthma, and infectious disease outbreaks will become more common due to increased growth of pollen-producing ragweed, higher levels of air pollution.

Fortunately, there are still many ways we can combat global warming!

even if it feels small you can make a big impact

Wondering how to stop global warming?

Reduce your own carbon footprint by following a few easy steps.

Make conserving energy a part of your daily routine!

Your decisions as a consumer. When you shop cut down on plastic wasteif you're shopping for new appliances like refrigerators, washers, and dryers, look for products with the government’s Energy Star label; they meet a higher standard for energy efficiency than the minimum federal requirements. When you buy a car, look for one with the highest gas mileage and lowest emissions. You can also reduce your emissions by taking public transportation when possible, or even carpools!

and even diet can help change the direction we are going in, going a day with out meat, I am never one to push this on people who don't like the idea of changing their diets, but if you or anyone is worring about things you can do, you don't have to go full vegan or vegetarian, meatless mondays can do wonders for reducing carbon footprints!!

The why going meatless helps reduce the carbon footprint,

More agricultural land is used to raise cattle than all other domesticated animals and crops combined

A vegetarian diet requires two-and-a-half times less the amount of land needed to grow food, compared to a meat-based diet

and not only that but the meat industry uses up more water and recourses than agriculture and a more than a dozen neighborhoods alone

as much as meat is delicious and its whats inculded in most peoples diets

but it shouldnt be so concentrated or destructive!

but the main thing you can do to help combat

is spread information about it to others!!!

thats why i think it is so important for everyone to know!!

if you think the same it'd be amazing for you to do reserch on the topic and try and do even the littlest of things to reduce CO2 GHG and waste in general all in favor to help the very planet we live on,

I hope this helped! ~`
