Answer:

Democracy is a form of government characterized by the participation of citizens in politics. It thus implies full equality of opportunities between the different members of a society, as all have the right to vote under equal conditions and without distinction of personal characteristics, economic benefits or any other type of distinction.

Critics of democracy have argued that not all members of society are equally competent to make important decisions in society, and that some members of society have significantly more resources to promote their views and interests. Although it is true that the promotion of interests is not the same in all cases, it is a fallacy to speak that democracy does not guarantee equality, as it allows each citizen to have the freedom to decide which option is the most convenient for protection of his interests and rights.

AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

B). is really really hard, yo.

Explanation:

The Tone is described as the approach or attitude adopted by the author towards a specific subject matter. It allows him/her to create the desired mood and offer a perspective to the readers to read or feel the text accordingly.

In the given paragraph, the author adopts a sincere and formal tone and the phrase 'is really really hard, yo' does not match the seriousness of the passage. This phrase is quite informal(as reflected by the repetition of 'really' and use of word 'yo') which is breaking the sincerity of the tone. The other options maintain the depth and formality of the approach adopted by the author. Thus, option B is the correct answer.

Answer:

In Boston on August 14, 1765, the Sons of Liberty met under what was known as the Liberty Tree near Boston Common. Hoisted on the tree was an effigy of Andrew Oliver, the city's stamp tax agent.

However Parliament then passed the Declaratory Act, which stated its right in principle to tax the colonies as it saw fit.
