Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, and Herbert Hoover shared the belief that cutting taxes was one of the best ways to ensure prosperity (a).

Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover were three Republican presidents of the United States during the 1920s. This period is referred to as the Roaring Twenties because the economy was booming. The three presidents pushed policies traditionally associated with conservatism such as the reduction of state intervention in the market, so that business could flourish. Reducing taxes was one of the ways to help consumers spend more, and businesses invest more, thus helping the general economy of the country.
