The American politician, who was the New York City Mayor (1994–2001) at the time the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, in the World Trade Central happened, is highly remembered for the way he handled things in the unfortunate event.

Following the attack, he ordered an evacuation of the area around the World Trade Center, organized the support of state and federal authorities to take measures to prevent any further terrorist activity and to rebuild the infrastructure. He also kept Americans informed on radio and T.V.
