What are three main components of magma
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

- Liquid (molten metals/rocks)

- Silica

- Gasses

Explanation:

The magma is a product of the mantle layer. The temperatures in this layer are very high, and the pressure is also much higher than on the surface. This leads to creating a melt out of the rocks/metals in it, thus creating a thick liquid out of them. Apart from the liquid of molten rocks/metals, a major component of any magma is the silica, which actually determines its behavior ones it reaches the surface of the Earth. The third important component of the magma are the gasses. The gasses are forming bubbles in the magma, and depending on the amount of silica, they can remain trapped and than cause explosions on the surface, or they can escape the magma easily if the magma is not highly viscous.

How can groundwater depletion affect streams and water quality?
navik [9.2K]

The groundwater is the largest freshwater reservoir on Earth in liquid form. These waters though are not isolated from the rest of the freshwater, but instead they are connected with the streams, thus they affect them heavily.

The groundwater has been heavily used in the last century, and it has been depleted. The depletion of the groundwater has been the result of over usage, or to put it simple, more water has been extracted than what naturally is replenished.

This has been causing more and more problems. Apart from the groundwater resources getting depleted and than be unusable, the depletion of their water has resulted in lowering of the level of water of the streams, as the streams have been receiving less and less water. Also, because there is much less water and it mixes with lot of ground and rocks, the water quality has been becoming worse and worse, and if this trend continues it can have devastating effects.

What flatlands in california lie between the sierra nevada and the coast range
Kitty [74]

Answer:

San Joaquin Valley

Explanation:

San Joaquin Valley is one of the two large valleys of California. It is the southern one of the two, with the one north of it being the Sacramento Valley. This valley is located between the Siera Nevada Mountains on the east, and the Coastal Range on the west. It is a valley where the climate is predominantly semi-arid, thus it is naturally covered by grasses, which has contributed to the valley having very deep and fertile soil. Because San Joaquin Valley has fertile soil, it is heavily used for agriculture, so the majority of it is rural, with only few cities in it, none of which is actually a large city.
