A carnival game had a spinning wheel with 20 equal-size sections: some red, some black, and some green. Every time the wheel was

spun, the game attendant recorded the color selected. The table shows the results after 20, 200, and 2000 spins.
What is the best estimate of the number of green sections on the wheel?

Outcome Number of trials

20 200 2000

red 12 109 1028

black 8 84 879

green 0 7 95

So calculate the probability
that is
(desired outcomes)/(total possible outcomes)
desired oucomes=green
so take the spins from20 and 200 and 2000

tota=20
deriedoutcome=0
0/20=0

total=200
desired outcomes=7
7/200=0.035

total=2000
disired outcomes=95
95/2000=0.0475

average the 3 results

(0+0.035+0.0475)/3=0.027
0.027=x/20
multily both side by 20
0.5
round up
1

the answer is A, 1

Anton [14]

Answer: (336.49,\ 355.51)

Step-by-step explanation:

The confidence interval for population mean is given by :-

\overline{x}\pm z_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

Given : Sample size : n= 314 , which is a large sample , so we apply z-test .

Sample mean : \overline{x}=346

Standard deviation : \sigma= 86

Significance level : \alpha=1-0.95=0.05

Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}=1.96

Now, a confidence interval at the 95% level of confidence will be :-

346\pm(1.96)\dfrac{86}{\sqrt{314}}\\\\\approx346\pm9.51\\\\=(346-9.51,\ 346+9.51)\\\\=(336.49,\ 355.51)

LenKa [72]

4 friends evenly dividing up a n - slice pizza

So each one get \frac{n}{4} slices of pizza.

 For example, if n = 12 slice then each friend gets 12/4 = 3 pieces.  If Harris ate one slice less then he ate  \frac{12}{4}-1=3 -1 =  2 pieces.

So the general expression for slices of pizza did Harris eat is

\frac{n}{4}-1

Given the figure of a regular pyramid

The base of the pyramid is a hexagon with a side length = 6

The lateral area is 6 times the area of one of the side triangles

So, the side triangle has a base = 6

The height will be:

\begin{gathered} h^2=6^2+(\frac{\sqrt[]{3}}{2}\cdot6)^2=36+27=63 \\ h=\sqrt[]{63} \end{gathered}

so, the lateral area =

6\cdot\frac{1}{2}\cdot6\cdot\sqrt[]{63}=18\sqrt[]{63}
