Athena Attacking the Giants is a sculpture fom the Hellenistic period that was made around 175-150 BCE in Pergamon that today corresponds to Turkey. It was made on the Partenon Altar and is part of the Gigantomachy frieze that has as a theme the battle between the gods and the Giants for control of the universe and here Athena is fighting with Alkyoneus, a Giant, and she looks confident. Also, she is being crowned by a Nike and uses snakes to defeat the Giants.
The black plague is the most deadly pandemic in history (1347-1353). In Europe, Asia and North Africa the black plague caused death to approx 200 million people.
