How did opportunities change for women in the workplace?

History

Answer:

Opportunities for women in the workplace have changed with women showing their ability, intelligence and strength. Over time, women were increasingly needed in the workplace because of their professional attributes.

Explanation:

Early-century habits prescribed that the husband be the provider of the home. The woman did not need and would not need to earn money. Women who at that time became widows, or were of an impoverished elite, and had to turn to support themselves and their children, made candy for orders, flower arrangements, embroidery and sieves, taught piano lessons, and so on. But beyond being undervalued, these activities were badly regarded by society.

However, some have managed to overcome the barriers of being a wife, mother, and homemaker, lagging behind from the 1970s onwards when women were gaining more space in the labor market.

The world progresses by betting on feminine values, such as the ability to teamwork against ancient individualism, persuasion as opposed to authoritarianism, cooperation over competition, high intellectual ability, and strength.

Women encompass positions in higher courts, in ministries, at the height of large companies, in leading-edge research organizations. They fly jets, command troops, drill oil wells.

It is important, however, to emphasize that the insertion of women in the workplace has been accompanied, over the years, by a high degree of discrimination, not only as regards the quality of occupations that have been created in both the formal and private sectors. labor market, but especially with regard to gender pay inequality.

Describe three areas of Russian life that Peter the Great reformed or modernized, and one area that he did not change significan
Eva8 [605]

The correct answer is the following.

Peter the Great of Russia modernized some areas of Russian life. He reformed the Church, Education, and the Economy.

One important institution that he reformed was the Church. Previously, Church had been autonomous. Peter reformed Church and was directly connected to him and the government of Russia. The Russian Church was wealthy and Peter wanted to control that wealth. Another reform was in Education. Peter wanted to better instruct his army through mathematics and science to learn how to shoot weaponry with better angles, design better strategies and have better navigation for his Naval. The third reformation was in Economy. He wanted to apply Western ideas to improve trade, agriculture, and industry. This way he could be in the position of taxing more and invest the money to strengthening its army.

7. If a monopolist increases the selling price of a good from $20 to $30, then what is the marginal revenue?
ANEK [815]

Answer:

$10.

Explanation:

The key word here is a "monopolist", or an individual/company that has complete control over a certain amount of market. Marginal revenue, as defined, is an increase in revenue that results from the sale of one additional unit of output.

This is important to note, in that usually when a price is raised, as long as there is comparable quality with competitors who have lower prices, an increase of price will typically lower demand for the product(s) from that individual supplier. However, in holding a monopoly, no matter how much or little they change the prices, as the product is in demand, the market demand would not change as much assuming all things stay the same (i.e., natural demand is still the same amount as before the price change).

So, for example, that there is a natural demand for computer chips. You as well as your company, is the only company that makes computer chips, or at least you make the majority of the computer chips (>90%). This typically means that, if no other company or government has the means to be able to achieve adequate production of computer chips, and as computer chips are important in everyday products and a part of human life now, then an increase of price by $10 is justifiable under the Nature of Demand. The marginal revenue then, would be $10 (the amount increased).
