Why was hitler important ?

History

Adolf Hitler was important because he was the leader of Germany’s Nazi Party. Hitler was one of the most powerful and notorious dictators of the 20th century. He capitalized on economic woes, popular discontent and political infighting to take absolute power in Germany beginning in 1933. Germany’s invasion of Poland in 1939 led to the outbreak of World War II, and by 1941 Nazi forces had occupied much of Europe. Hitlers obsessive pursuit of Aryan supremacy fueled the murder of some 6 million Jews, along with other victims.

Basically Hitler being the leader of the Germany Nazi Party automatically made him important. But the fact Hitler caused so much damage with his obsession of Aryan supremacy (the death of 6 million Jews) was what made him so well known.

Question 1
padilas [110]

Answer:

  • In 1765, Parliament attempted to raise £100,000 for the American military garrison by a 'stamp tax' on colonies: a tax on paper, which had to be watermarked, or 'stamped' before use by printers or for legal documents. Those who did not comply would be tried without jury in vice-admiralty courts.
  • The British government thought it fair that the American colonies should contribute financially to the defence of the expanded empire. These measures and their crude and corrupt administration sparked widespread protest and opposition from the colonists.
  • On 18 March 1766, Parliament recognised the Stamp Act's failure and repealed it, but at the same time asserted its right to tax the colonies. Relations between the colonies and Parliament remained irrevocably soured.
