Answer: 3\dfrac{3}{4}\text{ hours}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x denotes the number of hours to cover the entire distance between these two cities .

Using formula \text{Speed}=\dfrac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Time}}, we have

\text{Speed}=\dfrac{1}{x}  (1)

Given : A train traveled \dfrac{1}{5} of the distance between two cities in \dfrac{3}{4} hour.

Then,

\text{Speed}=\dfrac{\dfrac{1}{5}}{\dfrac{3}{4}}=\dfrac{1}{5}\times\dfrac{4}{3}=\dfrac{4}{15}   (2)

From (1) and (2), we have

\dfrac{4}{15}=\dfrac{1}{x}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=\dfrac{15}{4}=3\dfrac{3}{4}\text{ hours}

Hence, it will take 3\dfrac{3}{4}\text{ hours} to complete the entire distance between these two cities.

1/5 is equal to the 20% of the trip and that took 45 minutes.
45minutes/20% of traveled distance = X minutes/ 100% travel distance
2.25 * 100= X
225= X
So if for the 1/5 or 20% of the trip lasted 3/4hour or 45 minutes. To complete the  trop you need 225 minutes or  3 hours and 45 minutes or 3 3/4 hours.

Pi High School ordered 40 science books. The next week, the school ordered 30 algebra books. The bill for the first order was $3
maria [59]

Answer:

Each algebra book costs $60.

Step-by-step explanation:

A=bill for algebra books; S=bill for science books=A+$360

S+A=$3960 Substitute for S

A+$360+A=$3960 Subtract $360 from each side.

2A=$3600 Divide each side by 2.

A=$1800 The order for 30 algebra books cost $1800.

Individual book=A/30

individual book=$1800/30=$60 ANSWER: Each algebra book cost $60.

A nanometer (nm) is 10⁻⁹ m.

Therefore
10⁶ x 1 nm = 10⁶(10⁻⁹ m) = 10⁻³ m

By definition,
10⁻³ m = 1 mm (millimeter)
