Answer:

Britain and France depended on the south for four-fifths of their cotton for their textile industries

Explanation:

During the American civil war the Great Britain remained neutral during the American civil war due to the fact that they never recognized the confederates states of America which were made up of the southern sates as a country and did not exchange ambassadors with them nor was a treaty signed between them.

The confederacy hoped for military help from France and Britain because the confederacy were very good in Agriculture and provided/exported most of their produce including cotton to the Europeans. so they felt the European nation will help them achieve independence but America threatening war on them was one of the reasons that made them not to intervene.

Who was included in the republican party of 1854? four answers
vodomira [7]
In Ripon, Wisconsin, former members of the Whig Party meet to establish a new party to oppose the spread of slavery into the western territories. The Whig Party, which was formed in 1834 to oppose the “tyranny” of President Andrew Jackson, had shown itself incapable of coping with the national crisis over slavery. With the successful introduction of the Kansas-Nebraska Bill of 1854, an act that dissolved the terms of the Missouri Compromise and allowed slave or free status to be decided in the territories by popular sovereignty, the Whigs disintegrated. By February 1854, anti-slavery Whigs had begun meeting in the upper midwestern states to discuss the formation of a new party. One such meeting, in Wisconsin on March 20, 1854, is generally remembered as the founding meeting of the Republican Party.
