On the other hand, there are also disadvantages such as the reduction of jobs, due to machinery and the degradation of the environment in search of large quantities of raw material.

All these advantages and disadvantages were felt in all the territories where the industrial revolution took place, the disadvantages, however, were felt most strongly in less influential regions, such as the Caribbean, which was highly exploited and usurped few productions that focused on the European public.
