The correct answer is:

C. fewer elections would bring a higher voter turnout

The main benefit is that more people would vote. With the high number of elections few people decide since others are apathetic or don't care about the local elections. If the number of elections decreases people probably will participate more.

Why did a direct democracy work well in ancient Athens while the modern USA must have a representative democracy?
netineya [11]

Answer:

The ancient Greeks were the first to create a democracy. The word “democracy” comes from two Greek words that mean people (demos) and rule (kratos). Democracy is the idea that the citizens of a country should take an active role in the government of their country and manage it directly or through elected representatives. In addition, it supports the idea that the people can replace their government through peaceful transfers of power rather than violent uprising or revolution. Thus, a key part of democracy is that the people have a voice.

What is the focus or purpose of a correctional treatment therapist?
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

Help convicted offenders find employment

Explanation:

They do not have the power to pardon but they do help inmates a lot in terms of reintegration and finding employment when they get out.

To be fair they contribute to inmates behaving better so they could, in theory, make an inmate be released early and also rehabilitate convicts but reintegration and helping convicts find employment is the primary function.
