What is the central argument of lake’s letter, “an Indian father’s plea”?

English

The central argument of Lake´s letter, “An Indian Father´s Plea” is “that the teacher needs to respect Wild-Wolf´s culture and take that into account when teaching him” (A)

Wild-Wolf´s father states that his son has not specific learning difficulties but rather he learns in a different way as he was born in a different culture. In fact, he says that he son knows more about nature than probably most of his peers including his teacher (he knows more than 40 birds’ names and complex information about them). Finally, the father urges the teacher to respect his children’s right to get a proper education by respecting and maintaining his heritage and culture while taking advantage of Wild-Wolf´s experience in class.

                                                                                      April 25, 2021.

The Honorable Minister of Roads and Highways,

Federal Ministry of Roads and Highways,

Federal Secretariat,

Abuja.

    Sir,

DEPLORABLE STATE OF ROADS IN SOUTH-EAST NIGERIA

It is with deep sense of urgency that I write to you regarding the deplorable state of some roads in south-east Nigeria. These roads include; Enugu-PortHarcourt expressway, Akokwa-Uga expressway and Old Umuahia road.

These roads are all strategic to sustainable of trade between south -east Nigeria and other regions of the country. The continuous neglect of these roads have led to a great downturn in the economy of south- east Nigeria.

Secondly, the poor state of these roads have hindered direct foreign investment in south- east Nigeria. Many potential investors do not bring their investments to this region of the country for fear of failure of the business due to poor state of access roads in the region.

Lastly, lack of access roads in this region have greatly enhanced capital flight out of the region. This in turn have fueled unemployment and consequent youth restiveness which currently threatens the peace of this region of the country.

I plead with you sir, to consider us in this region and quickly see to the initiation and completion of maintenance work on these affected express roads that link south- east Nigeria to other regions of the country.

Thanks in anticipation of our positive response.

                                                                                       Yours Faithfully,

                                                                                        Jude Njoku

The subject of an article cannot automatically limit which of these? effectiveness timeliness audience purpose
goldfiish [28.3K]

Hey!

An article is piece of writing included with others in a newspaper, magazine, or other publication. Those can be academic, laboral or just personal.

Now, the subject of an article can automatically limit the timeliness, the audience and purpose. The subject acts like a border to your article and you will have to respect that limit. For instance, every article has a subject, but it will be conditioned by the subject of the writing piece; and, when writing, you have to identify your audicience and it has to be closed relationed with your subjects, because there are some topics for specific public.

In that sense, the only aspect a subject of an article can not limit is A: effectiveness. A topic by itself does not do anything, it is the way of presenting and writing about it. In addition, there is no any way to know if the article will produce the expected effect on the readers just because of the topic.

Hope this helps!
