The artist is Eva Hesse (1936-1970). She was born in the German city of Hamburg, in a Jewish family. Because the Nazi persecution of Jews, the whole family emigrated to New York, USA in 1939. His cultural career last only 10 years, because in 1969 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. His style can be labeled as minimalistic. Several pieces by her are in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
